Zola: "There is a lot of work to do for Malagò and... Mancini. Serie A? I am curious about Sarri at Atalanta"

Former striker Gianfranco Zola, now vice president of the Lega Pro, has spoken to Tuttosport following the election of Giovanni Malagò as president of the FIGC. Zola stressed: "There is a lot of work to do, we must focus on long-term plans for our young people. It is not true that we have no talent; look at the U17 European Championship victory. This is not the first victory in recent years. We must give them playing minutes and give them the opportunity to make mistakes."

Zola did not comment on Malagò's choice for the new coach of the national team, where Roberto Mancini was reportedly expected to return to the helm. "The most important thing is that we understand that there is no immediate solution to football's problems," he added. "I hope he gets the time he needs."
