World Cup 2026 weather: stadium roof saves day eight - flood warning in Atlanta, other matches under roof

The 2026 World Cup will take place in warm and sometimes stormy conditions. A significant part of the 104 matches will be played at temperatures above 32 degrees. Mexico – South Korea (Estadio Akron, Zapopan; kick-off 7:00 PM local time, CST) - Weather: partly cloudy and pleasant, high around 28°C (82°F). - During the evening: partly cloudy and around 25°C (77°F) at 7 p.m. Sunset at 7:36 PM. Partly cloudy at 9pm with around 21°C (70°F). - Wind: west 5–10 mph (approximately 8–16 km/h).

Conclusion: thanks to the closed roofs in Atlanta, Inglewood and Vancouver, the matches are not directly affected by the stormy weather. However, especially in Atlanta, be careful around the stadium due to the expected showers, wind and the current flood warning. In Zapopan the prospects are favorable for a smooth evening match.
