Tottenham Hotspur is focusing on strengthening the wings and, according to Talksport, has two names prominently in the picture: Cody Gakpo (Liverpool) and Savinho (Manchester City). The London club wants to add more depth and threat to the sides heading into the new season and is therefore exploring options within the Premier League.

Gakpo had a difficult year at Liverpool by English standards in 2025-26. The Dutch international was under a magnifying glass and was regularly criticized by the supporters. In all competitions he recorded 9 goals and 6 assists in 52 games under Arne Slot. Despite that setback, it is expected that Liverpool does not intend to let the 27-year-old attacker leave. While those numbers are more modest than Gakpo's, Savinho is known for his explosiveness and one-on-one qualities, profile traits that align with Tottenham's desire to add more drives on the flank.

The situation surrounding Gakpo is extra interesting for Oranje followers. The attacker is a permanent fixture in the selection of the Dutch national team and his club form and playing time in the run-up to international tournaments are of direct significance. A possible transfer to London could affect his role and rhythm, although there is no agreement or official offer at the moment. This is emphatically about the exploratory phase in which options are weighed.
