NEC does business with Vitesse: Adam Tahaui to Nijmegen with a four-year contract
NEC neemt Adam Tahaui over van Vitesse. De 20-jarige Marokkaans jeugdinternational tekent voor vier jaar in Nijmegen en moet de rechterflank versterken. Transfersom circa 700.000 euro.
NEC has found its desired reinforcement for the right flank. Adam Tahaui comes over from rival Vitesse and signs a four-year contract in Nijmegen. The signature will be signed this week. According to De Gelderlander, information confirmed to VI by sources, the transfer fee is approximately 700,000 euros.
NEC has been looking for extra depth on the right flank for months, where Sami Ouaissa has been the only outspoken attacking option so far. Brayann Pereira can handle it, but is basically a defender. Moreover, Ouaissa is in the interest of several clubs, making his future in Nijmegen uncertain. With Tahaui, NEC has acquired the intended competitor and alternative.
The 20-year-old Tahaui mainly played as an attacking midfielder at Vitesse. In Nijmegen, however, trainer Dick Schreuder mainly sees him as a player for the right flank; NEC claims to have sufficient staff in the tenth position. Tahaui is a Moroccan youth international and was only in Arnhem for a year.
With the arrival of Tahaui, NEC adds a fourth newcomer to the selection, after Perr Schuurs, Kaj Sierhuis and Tobias Storm. The club wants to further increase the width and competition on the wings with a view to the new season in the Eredivisie.
