Kylian Mbappé continues to impress at the 2026 World Cup. With nineteen goals at the world championships, the French superstar is on the verge of equaling the Dutch team, who have scored 21 World Cup goals since 2018. Mbappé is also competing with Lionel Messi for the title of all-time World Cup top scorer.

Harry Kane follows at a distance with thirteen goals, while Cristiano Ronaldo (eight goals), Romelu Lukaku and Cody Gakpo (both six) are the pursuers.
Mbappé's scoring drive emphasizes his status as a World Cup specialist. In addition to France (44 goals since 2018), England (33), Argentina (32), Croatia (28) and Belgium (26) are among the most scoring teams, but Mbappé's individual performances stand head and shoulders above them.
The 2026 World Cup therefore remains the stage on which Mbappé shows his great class, with the Dutch team as a well-known benchmark in the World Cup statistics and the historic battle with Messi as extra motivation.
