Marocchi about Liberali: “Exceptionally striking choice, he reasoned as a median”
At Sky Sport, Giancarlo Marocchi gave his view on the market: according to him, English clubs often spend excessively around the possible transfer of Sandro Tonali to Tottenham (approximately 116 million including bonuses). About Sandro Tonali, who according to reports is about to exchange Newcastle United for De Zerbi's Tottenham for an offer of around 116 million euros including bonuses, Marocchi said: "I keep saying that the English have a lot of money and exaggerate; maybe this is not an example of that. It hurts me to see Italian clubs pretending to be rich and trying to follow certain names."
Marocchi also commented on Mattia Liberali's choice to sign for Como instead of returning to Milan: "He has made an exceptionally striking choice; whether it is the right one, we will see this year and in the coming years. The opportunity was also there to return to Milan and prove them wrong, but he, being a trequartista (attacking midfielder), has reasoned more like a mediano (controlling midfielder) and looked at the project."
