Manchester City signs 19-year-old Mathys Detourbet from Troyes; rent to Monaco provided
Manchester City strengthens Mathys Detourbet (19) from Troyes for approximately 25 million euros and plans a loan period with AS Monaco for 2026-27.
Manchester City have completed the signing of Mathys Detourbet, reports Troyes. The 19-year-old attacker moves for a reported amount of 25 million euros, a deal within the City Football Group.
Detourbet played an important role in the promotion of Troyes to the highest French division in the 2025-26 season. In Ligue 2, he scored three goals and five assists and was the best in his team with 44 successful dribbles. With a total of eight direct goal contributions, he was also one of the shared third most productive players in the selection.
The Frenchman joined the youth academy of Troyes at the age of eight and went through all the youth teams there. According to French reports, Detourbet will play for AS Monaco on loan in the 2026-27 season.
Troyes said in a statement that he was proud of Detourbet's development and thanked him for his efforts and professionalism.
