Kaiki starts working at Como with confidence: 'Working with Fabregas is an honor'

Kaiki, Como's newest signing, has responded enthusiastically to his transfer to the Italian club. The 23-year-old Brazilian, who comes from Cruzeiro for a fee of 14 million euros, arrived on Italian soil with his family and looked ahead to his future in Serie A. "I am happy to be here and be part of this project at Como," said Kaiki upon his arrival at Milan Malpensa airport.

Kaiki, a left-footed defender, first undergoes the medical examination before signing his multi-year contract (four to five years) with Como. He can play as a successor to the departing Alberto Moreno, whose future at the club is still uncertain.


In addition to his sporting ambitions, Kaiki indicated that he is really looking forward to working with trainer Cesc Fabregas: "Fabregas is a star for me. I have a lot of respect for him and it is an honor to work with him."

Kaiki is seen in Brazil as one of the revelations of South American football, with 32 games and 4 assists to his name. This even earned him interest from national coach Ancelotti in the run-up to the World Cup. In April he made his debut for the Brazilian national team in a friendly match against Croatia (3-1). The player is known as a modern full-back, technically skilled, fast, and strong in one-on-one situations. With his arrival, Como wants to strengthen himself both defensively and offensively for the coming season in Serie A.
