João Félix has reacted to Portugal's second place in Group K at the 2026 World Cup, emphasizing that sooner or later you will encounter the best teams.
Portugal national team striker João Félix has given his opinion on his team's final results in the group stage of the 2026 World Cup. Portugal finished in second place in Group K, behind Colombia. "We would have liked to take first place in the group. But a more difficult path? Sooner or later you meet the best. We are at the World Cup..." said Félix, as quoted by Diario AS. In the previous club season, Félix played for Saudi side Al-Nassr after his transfer from Chelsea. He had an impressive season with 47 appearances, 26 goals and 18 assists in all competitions. Portugal started the tournament with a 1-1 draw against the Democratic Republic of Congo, then won 5-0 against Uzbekistan and drew 0-0 against Colombia in the final match. In the 1/16 final the team will face Croatia. This match is scheduled for July 3.
