Ivan Juric returns to Serie A as head coach of Monza after having his contract terminated with Atalanta. Juric had a turbulent period with short tenures and now takes over from Paolo Bianco, who led Monza to promotion via the play-offs and has now left for Pisa.
Ivan Juric will return to work in Serie A as head coach of Monza. The Croatian coach has terminated his contract with Atalanta by mutual agreement, paving the way for his appointment at newly promoted Monza.
The past few years have been difficult for Juric. Since September 2024, he has only been at the helm of AS Roma for twelve games, after which he left for Southampton that same season. In England, Juric lasted sixteen games before being fired. He started at Atalanta for the current season, but after fifteen official matches that adventure ended again.
Before Juric could sign for Monza, the contract with Atalanta had to be officially terminated. The club announced this on Tuesday afternoon. Monza, which recently returned to Serie A thanks to promotional matches, can now officially announce the arrival of Juric. Paolo Bianco, who took Monza to the highest level via the play-offs, also recently left on good terms. He has now found a new adventure at Pisa, which plays in Serie B.
With Juric as head coach, Monza wants to maintain itself again in Serie A and possibly surprise, after a year of absence on the highest stage.
