The talks between Modena and Fiorentina about Jonas Harder have cooled down considerably. While Modena aimed for a permanent takeover, Fiorentina only wants to let the 2005-born player leave temporarily. As a result, a direct switch to the yellow-blue will fade into the background for the time being, while other candidates move up.
Harder is under contract with Fiorentina and has had a strong loan season in Serie B, with 26 appearances and one goal. It was precisely that progression that made him a top target for Modena, where coach Daniele Galloppa - who knew Harder from Fiorentina's Primavera - had strongly encouraged his arrival. According to reports from TMW, Modena held on to a purchase structure, but in Florence they believe in the potential of the youngster and only a new rental period is being considered.
In that scenario, Padova, which Harder would like to bring back for another season, and Frosinone, coach Alvini's team, remain serious options. Fiorentina is thus committed to the next step in its development via a new loan, while Modena can only join if the conditions change.
