Dynamo Makhachkala receives compensation from FIFA for Mastouri's participation in the 2026 World Cup

Russian club Dynamo Makhachkala will receive a significant compensation from FIFA for the participation of striker Hazem Mastouri in the 2026 World Cup with Tunisia. The compensation is approximately €280,000 to €300,000 and is not tied to the number of days played. If Tunisia reaches the knockout phase, the amount could increase further.

Dynamo Makhachkala will receive a financial windfall from FIFA thanks to the participation of their striker Hazem Mastouri in the 2026 World Cup for Tunisia. General manager Shamil Gazizov told Russian media that the club could expect to pay a lump sum of around €280,000 to €300,000 for releasing Mastouri during the tournament. This compensation is independent of the number of days the player spends at the World Cup, although the contribution increases if Tunisia advances to the knockout stages.

"It is a tidy sum for our club and we are happy with this compensation," said Gazizov. Mastouri has been playing for Dynamo since mid-August 2025 and was active in 30 matches last season, scoring four times and providing three assists. His contract with the Russian club runs until the end of the 2027/2028 season.

Tunisia is having a difficult time at the World Cup: the team lost its first two group matches, against Sweden (1-5) and Japan (0-4). In the last group match, the North Africans will face the Dutch national team, which will face Tunisia on June 26.
