Carlo Ancelotti heads the list of highest-paid coaches at the 2026 World Cup

Carlo Ancelotti is at the top of the list of highest-paid coaches at the 2026 World Cup. The Brazil coach, who took over from Real Madrid in May 2025, receives an annual salary of 9.5 million euros. This amount places him far ahead of all his colleagues currently active in the world tournament. Ancelotti also recently extended his contract with the Brazilian Football Association, keeping him at the helm of the Seleção until the end of the global cycle in 2030. He can look back on an impressive career with no fewer than 31 trophies won worldwide.


In second place is Thomas Tuchel, the England coach, with an annual salary of 5.9 million euros. Julian Nagelsmann, who manages Germany, completes the podium with an income of 4.9 million euros. Italian coach Fabio Cannavaro, who leads Uzbekistan, and Roberto Martinez of Portugal both follow with a salary of 4 million euros.

At the lower end of the list we find Didier Deschamps of France with 3.8 million euros, Marcelo Bielsa of Uruguay with 3.5 million euros and Ronald Koeman, who trains the Dutch selection, with 3 million euros. Remarkable is the position of Lionel Scaloni, the coach of the current world champion Argentina, who occupies only tenth place with a salary of 2.3 million euros. In front of him is even Gustavo Alfaro, the coach of Paraguay, who earns 2.5 million euros a year, despite a disappointing start against the United States.
