Bellingham enthusiastic about Mourinho's return to Real Madrid and new signings
Bellingham calls Mourinho a top coach and says he is happy with the new Real signings, while he keeps his eye on England during the 2026 World Cup.
It's been a busy summer at Real Madrid, with the biggest news being the return of José Mourinho as head coach, thirteen years after his first spell in Madrid. Midfielder Jude Bellingham, currently in the 2026 World Cup, reacted to the prospect of playing under the Portuguese next season. He told DAZN (via MD): "That's good! He is a top, top, top trainer and I am very happy with him."
Bellingham also discussed the transfer violence surrounding Real Madrid. According to the same report, the club has signed Ibrahima Konaté, Denzel Dumfries, Marc Cucurella and Bernardo Silva. "There are a lot of very good signings coming. Players with a lot of quality and experience... at the moment I am focused on England, but I am very happy with these signings," said the midfielder.
The comments came after Bellingham was voted player of the match in England's goalless draw against Ghana. His start to this World Cup in North America was not easy, but there is confidence that he will find his best form again as the tournament progresses. Real Madrid also hopes that Bellingham will gain rhythm and confidence in the coming weeks, especially after a difficult 2025-26 season, to start the 2026-27 season with momentum.
