Barcelona signs Anthony Gordon after a strong Champions League season
Barcelona has acquired English striker Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United for a fee of more than 69 million euros. The fast, aggressive attacker showed that he can be of great value in the Champions League and is seen as an asset to the selection of coach Hansi Flick.
Anthony Gordon continues his career at Barcelona. Barcelona's interest in Gordon came at a time when Marcus Rashford (Manchester United) was also in the picture. However, the club management in Catalonia opts for the versatility and potential of Gordon, who can play both on the wing and in the center and is also three years younger than Rashford.
