Atlético Madrid sees Greenwood as a possible replacement for Julián Álvarez - a boost for Barcelona

Barcelona's attempt to free Julián Álvarez may receive support from Madrid. According to SPORT, Atlético Madrid have started identifying possible replacements for the Argentine striker. Mason Greenwood, currently under contract with Olympique Marseille, is considered a profile that Diego Simeone values.

Atlético has so far publicly maintained its position that a departure for Álvarez this summer is not an option. However, changing circumstances can change matters.
