AS Roma is almost finalizing Celik's contract extension; discussions with Pellegrini are ongoing

At AS Roma, the focus this summer is not only on major transfer deals, but is also working hard to retain core players. According to Italian media, the contract extension of Turkish defender Celik has almost been completed. The club management recently managed to bridge the salary difference, which initially amounted to around 600,000 euros. Only a few formal details separate Roma and Celik from signing the new contract.

Celik, who is currently playing with the Turkey national team at the World Cup, is appreciated within the club for his versatility and commitment.
