Angeliño wants revenge at Roma despite interest from Real Betis

Angeliño is determined to regain his place at Roma after last season was mainly dominated by injuries and little playing time. The Spanish left back aims to start the preparation fit, which starts on July 13 at the Trigoria training complex. Under the leadership of trainer Gian Piero Gasperini, he wants to show that he can add value, especially in the early phase of the preparation.

The coming summer seems to be decisive for Angeliño's further career. According to Italian media, Real Betis has shown serious interest in bringing the defender back to Spain. Betis is said to have stepped up negotiations considerably in recent weeks and is aiming for a rental structure.


However, Roma are reluctant to respond to these plans. The club sees little interest in a temporary rental for the time being now that the transfer market is in full swing. Roma views Angeliño as a valuable asset and will only cooperate in a departure if a suitable transfer fee - the market value is estimated at around 10 million euros - is received. With the approaching deadline of June 30 and the policy to keep a grip on outgoing transfers, Roma currently has little appetite for short-term solutions.

The coming weeks will reveal whether Angeliño will get a new chance in Rome, or whether a return to Spain will prove feasible.
