Agent confirms Bastoni transfer decision amid Barcelona interest

Alessandro Bastoni's agent, Tullio Tinti, has confirmed that the Italian defender has no intention of leaving Inter despite interest from several top European clubs. Tinti was at Inter's headquarters on Wednesday morning and spoke to Sky Sport Italia after meeting with the Nerazzurri management.

"We didn't go to Inter to discuss Bastoni," Tinti said. "He is an Inter player in every sense and has two years left on his contract. He wears the Inter shirt, wants to honor his contract and is happy at Inter. There has never been a problem."


There were recent reports that Barcelona had set their sights on Bastoni, but the agent emphasized that his client will not leave this summer. "Bastoni is an Inter player and he will definitely stay at Inter," Tinti said. "In football, anything can happen. A player like Bastoni attracts interest from all the top clubs, but that is not the problem. He is happy where he is. You never know what life will bring, but at the moment he is extremely happy where he is."

Bastoni, 27 years old, has a contract with the Stadio Meazza until June 2028. This season he has scored two goals and provided six assists in 40 games. He joined Inter from Atalanta in 2018 in a deal worth €40 million and previously played on loan for Parma in the 2018-19 season. Bastoni has also scored three goals in 43 appearances for the Italian national team.
